Founded in 1964
The Lake of Bays Sailing Club's first headquarters were situated on Bigwin Island as part of Bigwin Inn. By the early 1970s, LBSC had moved operations across the “Big Bay” to Glenmount on the south shore of Lake of Bays. The Club rented the old Glenmount Teahouse. In 1976, LBSC purchased a permanent clubhouse — the old church situated just across the road from the Glenmount Dock. In 1984 the Club purchased the Teahouse property to be used as a sailing dock.
Lake of Bays Sailing Club is a non-profit Club and all clothing proceeds go towards supporting our programs.
